Brand New UN-used Viair 450C Air Compressor Replacement Piston & Connecting Rod with counter weight. This Piston & Connecting Rod will work with NEW STYLE Viair 450C Air Compressors only.This piston will work with Viair Brand 450C Air Compressors. This will not work with any other brand air compressors.

You may have to use butane torch for 2-3 sec. to break lose older piston from shaft due to thread sealant in set screw. Thread sealant must be applied while installing new piston on motor shaft, this will prevent piston getting loose on shaft.

NOTE:  Cylinder wall must be replaced when using a new replacement piston to get performance, full pressure. Cylinder wall will have normal wear & tear due to age or may have scratches, resulting into bigger inside diameter. Replacing Piston only may not give you 100% performance/ may not build 150 PSI Max. Pressure.

Unscrew filter housing (Gray) plastic filter housing from front side of compressor crank case, where air inlet threaded suction hole is. You will see a 5 digit number. This 5 Digit part number is for Viair brand air compressors only. For Example : 450C will have following P/N's for Viair "C" Series Air C 45012, 45040 P/N. I.G Series 45050, 45058
Right below these 5 digit part number will be 4 digit numbers. First 2 are YEAR & next 2 are MONTH of Manufacturing.
