2 HP 1500 Watt Computer Controlled Servo Motor With ex ternal  Speed Control Switch. Built to fit Smithy model AT300 Number 1~4 are proven as seen in the images. This is # 5. See images. Make Note: Now comes with a 3.05" OD belt drive sheave.  About using this kit on a Smithy CB-1220 lathe combo: This came up as a question 3 times so we began working with a customer to see if it fits. The answer is yes, it will and has fit 2 CB=1220's so far. Lead time : There is a 5 day delay added to the ship date. This is so we can make sure and build another one before we ship this one. Sold with a custom built matching control unit: This version would screw onto the underside of a cabinet just above the motor area of the smithy. Speed is programmable for any range between 300 to 3,500 RPM. Sold with a custom built speed control switch: This switch allows start up, self diagnostics completion and stop-run in a convenient location of your choice. Just locate a 3.5" X 2" flat surface, clean off all oil and stick the switch there with 2 sided tape. Current motor mount design: Allows for our servo motor to be installed in the original location. May require that you cut the housing/plate on your machine a bit to allow for belt tension and bolt in place (no cutting was required with number 1). See images. Current motor to control unit wiring : All motors sold for this system now have the longer wires between the control unit and the motor (2022 version released Oct 2021). This adds distance to mount the standard plastic housing version control unit further away from the machine. It also eases installation of the custom aluminum housing control unit upgrade. See images for measurements. Note: the maximum distance between control unit and motor is now 28" (was 22"). Custom builds with aluminum control unit require the longer wiring between motor and control unit. Runs on typical 110 to 120 volt AC household power supply's. Ask about 220/250V AC Includes (what is in the box): A complete servo motor as seen in images. A stand alone and programmable custom built servo motor driver with overload protection. A welded steel motor mount designed to fit the Smithy AT300 seen in images. Look close at images as some of these machines have a different mounting system. A 3.05" OD AK30X5/8" pulley comes installed on the motor and includes the 15mm to 5/8" adapter. Motor programming  + spindle speeds and Reverse: The motor speed can be programmed to operate in any range chosen by the user. Between 300 and 3,500 RPM's. The full range of speed (RPM's) can also be controlled with just the speed control knob. Speed control programming only requires a few easy steps. Reverse is simple, just hold the yellow button for a few seconds. Programming includes the ability to set bottom and top RPM range separately. In other words you can program the system to run the spindle at any speed or range of speeds you choose (see below). Slowest speed achievable: Motor 300 RPM. (Below 400 is not recommended) . Highest speed: 3,500 RPM . Soft start is programmable and will be set as soft as possible when you receive this motor. This program is very effective in reducing drive belt wear etc. Braking strength is also programmable and will be set as low as possible. Personally I wish I could set it lower. Self diagnostics with fault code chart. Safe turn on system where the speed control knob must be in the full counter clockwise (stop) position when turned on. When turned on the self diagnostic system checks for faults and will not allow the motor to turn on until the speed control knob is turned all the way to stop first. Use at your own risk. If found to be abuse or missing the identity mark, no warranty exchange part will be provided and buyer will be required to pay shipping to get their parts back. Warranty exchange parts may or may not be new but instead refurbished or demos that I have from previous builds. Warranty exchange can take up to 60 days as some parts may not be in stock and require ordering from overseas. Servo Motor: I will exchange a defective servo motor for up to 60 days. Buyer must return the motor + the
control unit + the speed control switch for inspection and testing. Additionally original packaging such as
Styrofoam package inserts must be used to return these parts.

Computer control unit (in stock): I will exchange a defective control unit for up to 30 days. Buyer must return

Up to one year extended customer support: Print and keep your receipt, it could save you money.. We keep all parts in stock. That means if you brake it, we can fix it within days, not months to years waiting for parts from the large US sellers. Honesty goes a long way. If you smoked it just say so. We will ask a few questions and then sell you the replacement parts at a discount. Sometimes we will ask you to return the control unit for repair and repair it for you at our cost.
