The Skeg-Cover is a outboard and sterndrive
lower unit skeg protector and no drilling skeg
repair. The Skeg-Cover is installed with a 3M
adhesive which is not supplied and can be
purchased separately. Install the Skeg-Cover
on a new lower unit to protect it from damage
without any warranty issues due to drilling holes
or to repair a already damaged skeg. The
Skeg-Cover is sacrificial so upon impact along
with the adhesive it acts like a shock absorber
to protect the original skeg from damage.
The Skeg-Cover comes in (1) size fits all from
60 h/p and up for all outboards and sterndrive
lower units. The smaller outboard motors from
60h/p to 70h/p will require some fit which can
be done with simple hand tools.
