The LED lighting system casts the shadow of the blade onto the work piece to increase cut line visibility, resulting in greater cut accuracy. Great Tool , lightweight , battery lasts long periods of time , no effort making cuts on 2x8 lumber . Guide light is accurate . Miter cuts were consistent and accurate I highly recommend this tool . The only problem was a small plastic adaptor for the dust bag was missing , I called Ridged they immediately mailed out the missing part . Love it but spec misleading 9 Nov 21
In the specifications it says it cuts 4 inch thick material. While it indeed does “cut” 4” material it does not cut it all the way through. In reality a 4 x 4 is 3.5 inch material and a 7 1/4” blade can not cut it in half unless you can figure out a way to delete the arbor bolt. Love the saw, well made and powerful. Im a Ridgid fan. Finally, they brought it back. I've wanted one for so long but unfortunately they stopped making them when I needed one. Went m18 10", tried the dewalt/craftsman/kobalt/m18 7 1/4, settled on m18 10". But saw it came back and jumped. It doesn't come kitted with 5ah like before, but to my knowledge it's the same saw. Seems like it's very similar to the kobalt. Plenty of power, runs ridgid 18v, easy adjustments if needed, very light, great battery life. A definite win. The performance is great battery life was better than expected... 15 Jul 21
