With 18-20 CFM cubic per minute and a nitrogen purity level of a minimum
of 98 on this system, this unit is way better than the latest systems.
While the latest systems have dropped in price, they only have 13 cubic
feet per minute maximum and lower Nitrogen purity. This system is in
excellent condition, has an 80 gallon tank, no solenoids, and can even
be configured to run on batteries. The original purchase price was
$20,000. The Nitroflator, is fully automatic and plugs into
the compressed air supply to produce PurigeN98 on demand. Its capacity
is upgradeable and the generator has a cylindrical design with easy
access to controls. PurigeN98 is dubbed the
"blue" gas, because of the color of the equipment and the blue valve
caps and valve sleeves the company provides to differentiate it from the
other nitrogen providers that have tended to go with green color
schemes. High-Purity Nitrogen Tire Inflation
PurigeN98
has set the new standard when it comes to High-Purity
nitrogen tire inflation gases. Only PurigeN98 is
guaranteed to give you the benefits
you deserve.
INCREASED FUEL EFFICIENCY LONGER TIRE LIFE REDUCTION OF GREENHOUSE GASES IMPROVED VEHICLE HANDLING MAXIMUM VEHICLE SAFETY
Only
PurigeN98 dealers use our state of the art equipment and have
been trained to properly convert your
air-filled tires to High-Purity
Nitrogen filled tires. Only PurigeN98 dealers are authorized to use
our signature blue caps to identify that
you have PurigeN98 High-Purity
nitrogen filled tires. AMERICA HAS AN "UNDER INFLATION" PROBLEM…
Under-Inflated tires can be
found on nearly eight out of every ten vehicles on the road today. Under
inflated tires use more fuel, wear
out quicker, lead to premature tire failures, and are a detriment
to the environment. For many years
consumers were advised to regularly check their tire pressure,
yet most motorists will admit that they rarely
do. THERE IS A BETTER WAY…
High-Purity nitrogen tire
inflation has been used for many years by industry
professionals. They use nitrogen in tires primarily for
increased safety, better pressure
retention and increased pressure stability. While High-Purity nitrogen
tire inflation does not relieve the
motorist from checking their tire pressure
regularly, nitrogen in tires will on average maintain a safe level
of tire pressure for a much longer
period of time. In addition, nitrogen in tires
will reduce tire aging, wheel oxidation and reduce pressure
swings caused by moisture found in
regular compressed air.
ANSWERS TO SOME QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS PARTICULAR UNIT:
I'm
going to attempt to answer your questions as best I can. I have reached
out to the Purigen98 company, only to find that the original
manufacturer has closed and that another company is now making a
Purigen98. So finding any information on an older version may be a bit
of a challenge.
How old is this compressor ? First we are not the
original purchasher of the machine, which was a state vehicle
maintenance facility in Tennessee. I do have a Certificate of
Calibration that was performed on the machine and it is dated September
23, 2009.
Does it have a lot of hours on it ? Unknown at this time
This
is a compressor that you can use daily right? According to the manual
that came with the machine: the PD-72 has minimum Inlet pressure of 125,
can fill 72 passenger tires/hour, 12 truck tires per hour, with a
minimum Air Supply CFM or 8.
Is it a 80% usage? Not sure what you mean by that
What size is the air outlet on the tank? there is a Quick Connector outlet of 1/4"
Do you rate it like a normal compressor. Like 2 stage compressor? Unknown
When
you are using it does it keep up and keep the tank full? According to
the Certificate of Calibration the "Recovery Time" for 0-120 PSI was 64
minutes; and 60-120 PSI was 37 minutes with a Flow Control Setting of
"2" under "Normal" conditions for a "120 PSI" tank producing 98.5% N2
purity.
Everything is there to work like it should right?
Everything is there to work as it should. Of course, before use, you
will need to have it calibrated and probably install new N2-HEFS-010
Filters for Compressed Air
It plugs into 220 or 110 ? It is 110
Single phase ? Yes, single phase
This
is purer air than the green caps? Not sure what the "green caps"
are/is. According to the information above, the "blue" is definitely
better than the "green".
This is better for the tires for sure ? According to what I've read in my research N2 is definitely better for tires.
Also the Purigen98 very seldom needs to be recalibrated.
