MONTGOMERY WARD POWR-KRAFT by DURO TOOLS Model 3481A 8” Table Saw This collectible vintage 1954 MONTGOMERY WARD tilt-arbor 8” Table Saw (manufactured by DURO METAL PRODUCTS COMPANY of Chicago) is in very good operational condition with original cast metal throat plate, miter gage and rip fence. Solid cast iron table and extension wings, easy action and rigid solidly designed rip fence. Ball bearing 5/8” saw arbor with flange and nut. The table saw steel cabinet has the original wrinkle finish grey paint. Blade tilt and height are controlled easily from the front , wing-nut lock and hand wheel. Weighs 55 pounds. You will need your own 1/2HP motor to operate this saw. This type of saw is driven from the rear as shown in the reference photo for a similarly sized machine, and you will need a pivot motor mount such as the Craftsman or Power-King brand readily available on other EBay auction listings. Motor mount instructions are provided as a reference. One extension wing has a crack on one rib, looks like a residual stress crack from the casting, as it’s perfectly aligned (not an impact crack). a blade guard is NOT included ; motor, v-belt, and motor pulley are NOT included.
