Monster Densely Figured Catalpa Burl Slice Live Edge Table Slab 30”x17”x2-4”
3-4” through most of the piece but taper down to 2” at the one end as you can see in photos where the live edge is!
It has been air drying for over as a large burl piece for a couple years but was cut into slabs more recently 2/4/23 , may still have some drying to do but catalpa drys quick and doesn’t move or crack too much! The entire piece has been coated with a beeswax blend wax we make, and is works excellently at preventing checks and cracking in the final drying stages! Being that most of our pieces are burl/heavily figured grain or Spalted, cracks and inclusions do sometimes occur even with all the preventatives, returns won’t be accepted unless the piece is badly damaged or broken!
