This washer allows the blade guard to pivot up and out of the way when the saw is used. The guard can't be used without the washer, and it's not available separately from Harbor Freight.
Includes 1 black and 1 gray 3D printed lower guard replacement washer. Only 1 is needed, so you'll have an extra one on hand.
Install Tip: The nut holding the washer in place doesn't have to be torqued down hard, but make sure the spring is not binding. Tighten down the nut so there's not slack in the guard, but loose enough that the guard can spring back.
