It boasts a 2.0 HP motor as well that delivers only 80 dB of noise, which is similar to the noise produced by a garbage disposal. Operating temperatures are kept lower thanks the oil-lubricated pump inside the Makita Big Bore air compressor, reducing wear and damage. Integrated thermal overload also protects the motor from wear caused by heat during operation. The Makita portable air compressor boasts a roll-bar handle that make transport easy but also keeps the compressor safe from damage. To improve heat dissipation and limit the amount of water in the tank, the compressor uses copper finned discharge tubing as well.
