Items 6, 7 & 8 are Hand Sanding Pads, designed for use with half a sheet of standard 9" x 11" sandpaper.  Fold a sheet in half and crease a line along the middle of the sheet.  Then tear the sheet in half,  creating two 5 1/2" x 9" sheets.    Wrap the sandpaper around the various thickness blocks depending on how much flex and control you want when sanding contours.  Use the 1/2" block for maximum flex, the 3/4" block for medium flex, and the 1" block for aggressive shaping and maximum control.  Great for refinishing,  shaping and contouring, for blending edges and final detail and prep work before final finish coat of paint. Item 9 is a Special Detail block with a sharp angular edge.  It is a not as wide as the standard blocks to allow the sandpaper to wrap around the edge to sand into difficult areas and to sand angles. Note, these blocks are Extremely Light Weight and Firm to the touch.  They flex but are quite stiff, they are solid without Cross Cuts.  We also offer this Kit with Cross Cuts to make the blocks more flexible when sanding contours. These kits are for use with PSA, pressure sensitive adhesive sandpaper.  Note you can purchase sandpaper in sheets or rolls.  Simply cut the sheets with a scissors to the proper length.
With our quick turnaround we typically get your order out in a couple of days...first class mail.  Most our our customers receive their order in 3 to 5 business days from when we receive payment.  Since this package typically weighs less than 1 lb. it typically ships as fast as a letter.  We do not ship this package USPS Priority Mail unless the order is over a lb....because it costs several dollars more and is typically not any faster delivery. This unique rubber material is just the right stiffness and can be flexed by hand to sand contours on automobiles.  It tends to stay flexed or can be flattened.  It is also an excellent tool to sand wood, painted surfaces, and repair sheetrock.
Our Standard Material is 1 1/2" thick and is both stiff and flexible depending on the cross cuts and length.  In some applications our shorter solid blocks are a little on the stiff side, while our Double-Cut Blocks are very flexible. LEAST FLEXIBLE version designed to sand extreme contours. There are 3 versions of this block available, purchase individually or bundled in our most popular kits, this kit is our Solid Kit; The SOLID BLOCK
is uncut and is stiffer than our cut blocks,  It is great for flat and slightly curved surfaces. The CROSS CUT BLOCK
has cross cuts that allow the block extra flex for sanding contours. The DOUBLE CUT BLOCK
has cuts both along its length and across its with that allow MAXIMUM FLEXIBLILTY & TWISTING along its length. A variety of grits and sizes are available for your specific needs.  A standard sheet of longboard sandpaper is 2 3/4" wide by 16 1/2" long.  Cutting the sheet in half produces two sheets 8 1/4" long.  Cutting it in thirds produces three sheets 5 1/2" long.  Cutting 5 1/2" off one sheet leaves an 11" long  sheet that can be used on our 11" sanding blocks or cut in half again to use on the 5 1/2" blocks.  Finally, the various cut down sheets, 2 3/4 to 16 1/2" long can be cut in half for our HALF-WIDTH line of hand sanding blocks. We recommend 36 grit or 40 grit coarse  & 80 grit medium.  Always select open coat abrasives that can be unloaded if clogged by whacking the face of the sandpaper with a thin wire rod such as a coat hanger or small wooden paint stick or rod.  PSA sandpaper is also available in small rolls of abrasive, cut  abrasive to length with a scissors. Note, abrasive in the precut 2 3/4" width x 16 1/2" length comes in various backing weights.  Use stiff thick woven cloth sandpaper when added stiffness is desired...and thin flexible sandpaper when maximum flex is desired.  Or use rolls of thin weight paper backed PSA abrasive cut to length. For maximum stiffness stick abrasive sandpaper to both top and bottom of sanding block.  Use a fine grit for the upper side of the block where you will be gripping.  You can also use an old worn out piece of sandpaper for added upper stiffness.
