The UC18YSL3 is also equipped with a USB terminal on the back that is capable of charging mobile devices. In fact, this rapid charger can charge a USB device even if the charger itself is not plugged into a wall outlet. All you need is a power tool battery with some juice inserted in the charger and the USB port will be functional! The UC18YSL3 incorporates a new color scheme with the charging indicator lights to provide better clarification of the battery charging status. This new charger is lightweight at only 1.28 lbs. Plus, it is backed by Hitachi's 1-year charger warranty. The Hitachi BSL1830C 18V Li-Ion battery is a powerful, long-lasting battery for a variety of Hitachi 18V power tools. Users will enjoy increased productivity and runtimes thanks to the large 3.0Ah capacity of this battery. Despite its ability to go and go, the BSL1830C is surprisingly compact, coming in at half a pound and 3/4" more compact than the BSL1830. It provides balance to handheld tools without adding to user fatigue. For protection from the elements, this battery features a resin coating.
