Installation Steps: Once the old compressor has been removed, begin by removing the receiver/drier or accumulator and the expansion valve or orifice tube from the vehicle. Next, flush the condenser and evaporator using a non-oil-based A/C flush. The valve must be removed from the expansion valve system before the evaporator can be flushed. Flush evaporators from inlet to outlet. Install the new receiver drier or accumulator and a new expansion valve or orifice tube. Next, install the new or remanufactured A/C Compressor. Install and tighten the A/C Compressor mounting bolts. Reconnect any electrical connectors to the A/C Compressor. Re-install the refrigerant lines and A/C belt to the A/C Compressor. Reconnect the negative battery cable. Evacuate the A/C system with an A/C servicing machine for at least one hour. Check the system for leaks. If there are no leaks, install the refrigerant charge (Check the A/C system sticker under the hood of the vehicle for the proper amount and type of refrigerant for the system). Then, let the system set for 2 minutes. Doing so will allow the refrigerant to carry the oil and spread it more evenly throughout the system. Start the vehicle’s engine and turn on the A/C system.
