This is a cryogenic cooling system which I've assembled from surplus parts. This machine is the second one I've built I've tested it to the extent that I know everything works and it's capable of getting to cryogenic temperatures. To make this unit run you will need 220V AC power and a water cooling system consisting of a radiator, a centrifugal water pump and a large squirrel cage fan. You will also need a dewar to store your liquefied gas ideally a 10 or 30 liter dewar with a 4 inch or larger diameter mouth to be able to accept the cold head. I haven't yet bench marked the production capacity of this machine but the last one I built which was similar make and model was capable of liquefying 1 liter of atmospheric air in 4 hours. (70% liquid nitrogen 20% liquid oxygen and the remainder other gases.) I'll update the listing when I do a proper benchmark. Note: This unit does not include any kind of gas purification I find that for most purposes liquefied air does everything I would want liquid nitrogen to do. If you want a pure product you will need a source of pure gas source such as a nitrogen separation membrane or a tank of the gas you want to liquefy.
