You can use the hose-to-hose adapter to connect two 2-1/2 in. hoses together for extended reach or use 1 of the other adapters to connect your accessory to a smaller hose. The 2-1/2 in. to 1-7/8 in. adapter connects the 1-7/8 in. accessories to a 2-1/2 in. hose and the 1-7/8 in. to 1-1/4 in. adapter connects 1-1/4 in. accessories to a 1-7/8 in. hose.
