Extremely portable; lightweight and compact. It is definitely quieter than your typical compressor, not whisper quiet, but not headache inducing. I have used it to run a roofing nailer and while it cycled on and off quite a bit, it never ran out on me. Even with a lot of cycling the battery lasted a long time. I would guess it ran through at least 30 cycles before draining the battery...I wasn't really counting, but it lasted a couple hours if heavy use. I was using a standard 20v 5ah battery that is about 2 years old. One of the best battery tools I bout.... 15 Oct 21

Nice compact size. Quickly filled to 120 psi with 20v max battery and 140 psi with flexvolt. Smallish.tank is steel making the unit heavy for it's size but we'll made. 2 full tanks on 1/3 of 6amp flexvolt so suspect you would get 5 or six tanks of 140 psi air. I've been waiting for a compressor like this. I don't have a lot of storage room. I don't have a framing nailer or other high air consumption tool. My needs are simple. Mostly I use a brad/staple nailer. I sometimes install flooring, and this is perfect to fasten shoe molding. Other times, I build hobby projects like small cabinets or bookshelves. Perfect again. The tool is simple. Since the tank is so small, there's only one air outlet. That's fine. Pressure regulation is also simplified since there is only one outlet. The auto-on and off switch is covered to help avoid it getting gummed up with dust or a little moisture. The air drain bleed off valve is visible and only requires a quarter turn. This is much better than other pancakes I've used where you can't find the valve and forget it is open or forget to open it. All this is in a very compact, super light weight package. That's important to me as I can't lift a lot, and I don't have much storage room. I am using my very old (over 7 years!) 1.5 amp battery. It barely works, but that's not a fault of the tool. If anything, it is impressive that an tiny, old, weak battery can power a tool like this. It is time for me to consider getting a 5aH battery. Overall, I'm very happy with this product and recommend it for the light duty user. Made in USA of some foreign components Handy to have. 14 Aug 21
This air compressor weighs in at 22 lbs. so it is quite portable. The regulator sort of works. I set it for 30 psiand it delivered 35 psi. This would be a great thing to have if you like to go camping or are and outdoor wheeled enthusiast. I used it on my bikes, wheelbarrow and will probably use it on my cars during the winter when the air pressure always seems to be low and it is a hassle trying to find a place to fill up the tires. Instructions should be simpler a one page quick start would be great instead of the tern pages of warnings. You need to purchase the battery and charger separately along with hose and attachments. This works great and very portable. 14 Aug 21
This is the first battery operated air compressor I have used. I was suprised just how good it works. I like starting my review's with information and features about the product and then get into my personal experience. This Dewalt DCC2520 is very portable wieghing in at only 21.5 lbs and and small 2.5 gallon tank. It stands 15.5" tall, 12.5" wide, and 14" in length. Approximate cut-in pressure is 100 PSI. This is a Dewalt flex volt advantage product which enables you to us 20v or 60v. The approximate cut-out pressure for 20v is 125 PSI and 60V 140 PSI. SCFM (Standar Cubic Feet Per Minute) is 90 PSI. It was quieter then I expected with a noise level of 80 DBA. It's got a time delay fuse. The compressor is equipped with a dial regulator. The approximate regulated pressure rating is 20v 0-120 PSI and for the 60v 0-140 PSI. It has a 1/4 inch quick connect and oiless pump. The power switch is covered by a rubber seal to keep dust and water out. On the rear base it has a pressure release valve. The best thing about this compressor is that it is cordless. I put it side by side with a 6 gallon Bostich so you can get an idea of how small it is. I shot a few brad nails at different PSI into some pretty hard wood. At 90 PSI it did alright. But I found 100 PSI was the sweet spet. At 120 PSI it sunk deeper then it needed to. I will add a photo of the result. I also inflated a few sports balls, car, truck, and wheel barrow tires. I attached a plow nozzle on this to clean a basement floow and it really blew well. This little thing blew me away. I was using a 5Hh 20v battery. It performaned so good I can't wait to see what the 60v can do. I was very impressed with this thing. I still want to try out the Ryobi 18v compressor because I have alot more Ryobi batteries then I do Dewalt. It was really nice being able to go outside away from a power outlet and use this tool. No running extension cords and no lugging around a big heavy compressor. There are a ton of different uses for this tool. It is definitely a tool for a home owner to have. I don't think this is a tool contractors will be going to for big jobs but its great for doing stuff around the house. Being battery powered you can bring it anywhere. Weather you want to run some Pneumatic tools or put air into something this is great. Bring it camping for air matresses, bring it to the lake to fill tubes, leave it in your car to fill your tires, etc... I don't have electricity in my shed so I really enjoy having bettery powered tools. If you are in need of a portable compressor this is a great option. I was blown away at the performance. This 2.5 gallon DeWalt cordless air compressor is really well-designed with features that make it very useable in areas where you do not have commercial power handy. Thanks to having other DeWalt tools, I had a ready supply of batteries and chargers to use with this air compressor (this does not come with a battery and charger). The good design starts out with the on/off switch which will not be inadvertently activated because it is recessed under a lip on the top of the compressor (see picture). Additionally, because DeWalt understood this would be used outside in all kinds of weather, the switch is water-tight with a nice, flexible rubberized plastic cover. The pressure gauge and controls are good-sized and easy to read (see picture). Even the tank drain is well-marked and easy to reach and turn (see picture). The carrying handles are a continuous around the top in a loop and extend to the bottom of the unit so you can both carry and set this anywhere! The printed instruction manual is well-prepared and has a great pictorial diagram of all of the features (see picture). I highly recommend this portable air compressor due to its great features! Is the Awl Mighty, but this comes in as a blustery second. I see the winds changing for the DeWalt tools. Seeing as Craftsman came out their 20 volt air compressor and guess this is the follow-up rebrand by Dewalt. I picked this guy up from ye'ol Homedepot website, along with my stepladder, because my real ladder left when I was young, probably was stepped on by ma and wouldn't fault him he couldnt handle the compressor. I was actually in search of the Flexvolt compressor but at a lesser price point and same specs, I got this little pancake. Mmm pancakes. The compressor works very well, it gets up to peak pressure fairly quickly. Although not the quietest motor, not even moderately loud, it still doesn't drown out the wife's snoring!. So this one would be a breeze to sleep through. Yup I like it, 10/10, is a breath of fresh compressed aire.

The king of all tools! 3 Aug 21
Is the Awl Mighty, but this comes in as a blustery second. I see the winds changing for the DeWalt tools. Seeing as Craftsman came out their 20 volt air compressor and guess this is the follow-up rebrand by Dewalt. I picked this guy up from ye'ol Homedepot website, along with my stepladder, because my real ladder left when I was young, probably was stepped on by ma and wouldn't fault him he couldnt handle the compressor. I was actually in search of the Flexvolt compressor but at a lesser price point and same specs, I got this little pancake. Mmm pancakes. The compressor works very well, it gets up to peak pressure fairly quickly. Although not the quietest motor, not even moderately loud, it still doesn't drown out the wife's snoring!. So this one would be a breeze to sleep through. Yup I like it, 10/10, is a breath of fresh compressed aire.
